Utah, Arizona & New Mexico
May 2006
nother wonderful trip began heading west across Colorado to just inside the Utah border at Moab, home to Arches and Canyonlands
National Parks. We toured them both in our new Toyota Tacoma truck and by taking short hikes. We also enjoying some great
meals
at Moab restaurants that Jacquie had researched on the Internet. We then went across Utah passing through Capitol Reef
National Park and the Grand Staircase-Escalante
National Monument to Zion National Park in the southwest part of the state. There we enjoyed touring the park using the
park's trolley system. We attended a number of ranger talks and trekked through the scenery.
We next headed south to Flagstaff, Arizona, and toured the Indian ruins at Wupatki National Monument and the nearby Sunset
Crater Volcano National Monument along the way. A couple of days later we stopped at Meteor Crater as we traveled to Albuquerque
to do some RV trailer shopping. All in all, it was a wonderful trip that refreshed us both.
