Texas & New Mexico
January 2005
fter spending over a week
in Arlington, Texas, to have a belated Christmas with our kids and their families, we decided to take the long way back home
to Colorado by way
of Big Bend National Park, Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe.
After narrowly avoiding an accident in the first two hours at the beginning of the trip, we arrived home safely only to find
a sea of mud in our street. We've got to remember to arrive in the morning this time of year when the mud is still frozen so
our little
truck
can
get
some
traction.
Following are a few pictures of our adventure:

Rest stop along a scenic highway by the Rio Grande River

This and the following photo are hand_Held, time exposures of formations in Carlsbad Caverns
